Thunderbolt and Police ramp up search for communist terrorists; caution against reporting news affecting national security

Wayanad: A joint operation by Thunderbolt and the police has been launched to track down communist terrorists. Two female activists managed to escape into the forest during the operation, prompting an increased police presence in the area to capture the fugitives. The Thunderbolt team is also conducting searches within the forest.

The police have cautioned against spreading false information about the interrogation of communist terrorists in Kalpetta, Wayanad. emphasizing the importance of not reporting confidential news that could compromise national security.

The operation occurred late last night at approximately 10:45 pm, where the police engaged in a firefight with the communist terrorists during their forest search. The exchange of gunfire lasted for around half an hour. The Thunderbolt team confronted the terrorists at Aneesh’s residence in Periya 34, Chapparam colony, where they had gathered to charge their electronic devices. Four individuals were present at Aneesh’s house, resulting in the arrest of two suspects, namely Soman (alias Chandru) and Unnimaya from the Kabani wing. The other two managed to escape into the forest, with one of them sustaining a serious injury during the encounter.
