Minister R Bindu gives strange justification for buying eyeglasses worth Rs.30,500 with taxpayers’ money

Thiruvananthapuram: After buying an expensive eyeglasses worth Rs.30,500 with public money, Minister of Higher Education and Social Justice, R Bindu, has now come out with a strange justification for her purchase. She said that she bought the expensive eyeglasses because she reads and uses computers extensively. She also did not forget to blame Congress MLAs Eldhose Kunnappilly and TJ Vinod for purchasing expensive eyeglasses.

R Bindu told media persons that she needed apt eyeglasses because she is a person who is a voracious reader and uses computers extensively. She then revealed that Congress MLA Eldhose Kunnappilly bought eyeglasses for Rs.35,842 and MLA TJ Vinod purchased eyeglasses for Rs.31,600. Both of them used taxpayers’ money to purchase the expensive glasses.

The Minister revealed the names of the Congress leaders, who also used public money to purchase eyeglasses, after Mahila Congress staged a protest against R Bindu.
