Economic crisis reaches its zenith; Finanace Department issues directive to prolong restrictions for another year

Thiruvananthapuram: In response to the escalating economic challenges, the government has enforced financial restrictions within the state. The Finance Department has issued a directive extending these restrictions for an additional year. The order specifies the extension of restrictions on the renovation of government buildings, the procurement of new vehicles, and the acquisition of furniture.

Despite these economic constraints, extravagant spending remains rampant in the state, as evidenced by the lavish Keraleeyam program. The government is now gearing up for further financial restrictions while maintaining a notable silence on issues such as welfare pensions.
