Kannur: The police and Thunderbolt forces have intensified their search for communist terrorists in Iritty. The clash between communist terrorists and the Thunderbolt group on Monday night further fueled the urgency of the operation.
The encounter unfolded on the last day as the Thunderbolt group, conducting a nighttime inspection in the forest, encountered a group of communist terrorists. Subsequent to the clash, another team from Thunderbolt initiated a comprehensive search operation.
As of this morning, additional forces, led by Thunderbolt and the Anti-Terrorist Squad, are set to commence a thorough search of the forest areas. The recent clashes between communist terrorists and Thunderbolt have occurred twice, but thus far, no individuals have been apprehended. The communist terrorists escaped without being caught after each confrontation.
In a recent skirmish during Thunderbolt’s patrol, two terrorists were reportedly injured. Additionally, Thunderbolt successfully seized three firearms from the region.
