Kochi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is likely to take charge of the Kalamassery bomb blast case. The decision will be based on the results of the cyber-forensic examination of digital devices, and an official announcement regarding the investigation is expected from the NIA. The NIA has also gathered evidence in the case, which includes charges under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
In the ongoing police inquiry primarily focused on Dominic Martin, the investigative team has concluded that he is the sole suspect responsible for the crime. Dominic Martin, the accused in the case, has been remanded until the 29th of this month. The tragic blast occurred on October 29 in Kalamassery, claiming the lives of five individuals during a Jehovah’s Witnesses’ prayer meeting.
