THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Police have confirmed that the case against BJP leader and actor Suresh Gopi, filed by a news reporter, lacks merit. After questioning Suresh Gopi regarding the allegation of ‘misbehavior’, the police stated that no further notices would be issued in the case.
Based on the reporter’s complaint, the police charged Suresh Gopi with IPC 354A (sexual harassment).
Yesterday, Suresh Gopi voluntarily appeared at Nadakkavu Police Station in response to the case. Following the interrogation, the police clarified that Suresh Gopi had not committed the offense under Section 354A. They also mentioned that details of the interrogation and findings would be submitted to the court.
