PATHANAMTHITTA: K Surendran, the BJP Kerala state President, strongly criticized the Kerala government for organizing the ‘Nava Kerala Sadhas’ trip amid the state’s severe financial crisis. Speaking at a press meet in Pathanamthitta today, Surendran mentioned ‘Nava Kerala Sadhas’ trip as the Pinarayi Vijayan ministry’s last journey.
Surendran condemned the Pinarayi government, referring to it as inhumane and ruthless, organizing an extravagant trip while Kerala’s residents are in financial distress. Surendran said that this trip will mark the end of communist rule in Kerala.
Surendran questioned the necessity of spending Rs 1 crore and 5 lakh on a luxury bus, asking whose money the government is using for this purpose. He highlighted the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation’s (KSRTC) struggles due to the financial crisis. He questioned the source of funds for the ‘Nava Kerala’ trip.
Surendran also added that the government’s extravagance is pushing the people of Kerala into a debt trap.
