Thiruvananthapuram: BJP state president K. Surendran has criticized the incident of making a fake application to win the Youth Congress organizational election. The fake identity card was created by the Youth Congress using a mobile application called CR Card. BJP state president K. Surendran said that a case should be registered as soon as possible and that a Congress MLA is behind the crime.
“The use of fake election ID card for Youth Congress elections is a serious criminal offence. It can be used in general elections, make fake SIM cards and many other scams can be done through it. This app is made under the direct guidance of an MLA. KC Venugopal and VD Satheesan knew about this. The police should file a case immediately. The Election Commission should also intervene,” said K. Surendran. He also said that BJP will take appropriate legal action in this regard.
It was earlier reported that many Youth Congress activists cast their votes in their organizational election by preparing fake identity cards of the Election Commission of India. It is also alarming that only a passport size photograph is required to make an Election Commission ID card. If you provide information including name and address, the fake card will be available through the app within 5 minutes to beat the original ID card. Thousands of election identification cards were produced by the Youth Congress in this way.
