Kottayam: In anticipation of increase in the number of pilgrims during this Mandala-Makaravilakku Pilgrimage season, special trains for Sabarimala devotees are set to commence operations tomorrow. The trains which will run the initial service will be the Secunderabad-Kollam train and Narsapur-Kottayam train.
The Secunderabad-Kollam special train is scheduled to depart from Secunderabad at 2:20 pm tomorrow and is expected to reach Kollam by 11:55 pm on Monday. Along its Kerala route, the train will make stops at Palakkad, Thrissur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Changanassery, Thiruvalla, Chengannur, and Mavelikkara. The return journey from Kollam is slated for November 21st at 2:30 a.m.
Meanwhile, the Narsapur-Kottayam train will commence its service from Narsapur in Telangana at 3:50 pm tomorrow, reaching Kottayam at 4:50 pm on the 20th of this month. Stops along its route include Palakkad, Thrissur, Aluva, and Ernakulam Town stations. The return journey is set to depart from Kottayam on November 20th at 7 p.m.
