Thiruvananthapuram: A case of impersonation has been filed in connection with the production of fake voter ID cards orchestrated by Youth Congress workers, as further revelations emerge in the election sabotage saga. The police initiated the case based on a complaint lodged by a Congress worker, Adv. Juwais Muhammad, who alleged that someone else had cast a vote using his identity card.
The investigative team is set to gather detailed information from the election server, and the inquiry is currently underway. In his complaint, Juwais Muhammad states that he did not participate in the election. The police are employing a software-based investigation approach to delve into the Youth Congress election activities.
Notices will be sent to Youth Congress leaders, compelling them to appear for questioning as part of the investigative process. The investigation team’s primary objective is to identify those responsible for filing the complaint and proceed with a comprehensive inquiry into the matter.
