Thiruvananthapuram: After a three-day decline, gold prices in the state experienced an increase today. The per-sovereign gold rate rose by Rs 240, reaching Rs 45,480 for one sovereign of gold in the current market. Over the past week, the price of gold has surged by Rs. 1120.
As of today, the market rate for one gram of 22-carat gold stands at Rs 5685, while 18-karat gold is priced at Rs 4715 per gram.
Silver prices remained unchanged today, with the cost of a gram of common silver holding steady at Rs 79. For hallmark silver, the market rate remains at Rs 103 per gram.
