Kottayam: The lifeless body of a youth was found in the Changanassery AC canal, situated along the Changanassery Alappuzha Road. The incident unfolded this morning.
The body was spotted during the removal of a canal dam using a JCB. A fire force arrived and retrieved the body from the canal, bringing it to the shore for further examination. Changanassery police arrived at the scene to initiate the necessary procedures. As of now, the identity of the deceased individual remains unknown.
