Palakkad: A woman was hacked by her husband in Karimpuzha, Mannarkkad. The deceased, identified as Hannath, a native of Karimpuzha Cheerakuzhy, was attacked by her husband, Shabeer Ali, around 7:20 a.m. Hannath was severely injured in the attack. Srikrishnapuram police have arrested Shabeer Ali following the assault.
The police said that the couple were living separately due to family issues. The attack arose after a dispute over the custody of their children. Hannath who is in critical condition, is receiving medical care at a private hospital in Perinthalmanna.
