Thiruvananthapuram: The results for the Kerala Pooja Bumper lottery have been announced, revealing a fortunate win for ticket number JC 253199, securing the coveted first prize of Rs 12 crore. The winning ticket was purchased from the Kasaragod agent, Marykutty Jojo. The draw was held at Gorky Bhavan, Thiruvananthapuram at 2 pm.
This year’s lottery saw the sale of 39 lakh tickets, a notable increase compared to last year. The Lottery Department reports an impressive 89% ticket sell-out, surpassing the figures from last year. Despite the substantial sales, one lakh tickets remained unsold.
The first prize money has been elevated from Rs 10 crore last year to the current Rs 12 crore. The second prize, a crore each totaling to Rs 4 crore, will be awarded to four fortunate individuals. The JD and JC series emerged as particularly lucrative, securing larger prize amounts.
The third prize stands at Rs 10 lakh, with ten recipients set to receive two prizes per series. Five individuals will be awarded the fourth prize of Rs 3 lakh each, while the fifth prize amounts to two lakh rupees. Apart from this, there are many other prizes worth Rs.5000, Rs.1000, Rs.500 and Rs.300.
