Kochi: Three individuals were arrested in Kochi for selling MDMA at private resorts and luxury hotels, catering to night parties. Excise officials also arrested a middleman involved in supplying drugs. The seizure included 7.5 grams of MDMA, cash amounting to Rs. 1,05,000, and three mobile phones.
The arrested individuals are identified as OM Salahudheen (35) from Padamugal, the former block president of DYFI, Ameer Abdul Khadar (27) from Palakkad, and Arfas Shereed (27) from Kottayam.
The three were arrested after the primary middleman nabbed by the police. They had arrived at the North Railway Station carrying drugs sourced from Bengaluru. The police encircled them and arrested them. They adopted a strategy of using multiple vehicles instead of a single one for the transportation of drugs.
