Ernakulam: The High Court strongly criticized the government’s order instructing school students to take part in the Nava Kerala Sadas after the government informed the court that the Malappuram DDE’s directive had been withdrawn. The court expressed its displeasure, stating that such an order undermines the dignity of children.
The court asserted that any action resembling the exploitation of children is unacceptable, expressing surprise at the issuance of the order by the Malappuram DDE. Questioning the motive behind such directives, the High Court asked whom the officials seek to appease with such decisions. Additionally, the court emphasized the need to scrutinize the circumstances leading to the issuance of the order by the Malappuram DDE.
The High Court has officially closed the proceedings related to the petition challenging the directive for schoolchildren to participate in the Nava Kerala Sadas. Furthermore, the court has concluded the petition proceedings related to the order permitting the release of school buses for the Nava Kerala Sadas.
