Ernakulam: The court has rejected the bail plea of P Satheesh Kumar, the primary accused in the Karuvannur Bank black money case. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) asserted that Satheesh Kumar, known for his strong political connections, engaged in hawala transactions and illicitly transferred funds to various leaders.
Meanwhile, in the Kandala Bank fraud case, Akhil Jith, the son of CPI leader N Bhasurangan, has filed a bail plea. Akhil Jith claimed that he has no involvement in the case. In a separate development, the hearing regarding the Perngandoor Bank’s complaint against the ED has been adjourned to December 1.
