Thiruvananthapuram: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) will again question Thrissur CPI(M) district secretary MM Varghese in the Karuvannur Co-operative Bank fraud case.
ED has informed him to appear before them on Tuesday. The ED in its investigation found that CPI(M) had two accounts in Karuvannur. It has also found that the accounts were taken in the name of the local committee.
The ED said that the commission amount of the benami loans reached the party accounts and the amount was withdrawn from these accounts after the fraud came to light. The CPI(M) didn’t share the payment details in the account. MM Varghese didn’t provide information about the money in the account but testified that the information related to the account should be asked from the state secretary.
