Cyclone ‘Miachaung’, presently situated in the Bay of Bengal, is anticipated to impact areas spanning from Nellore to Machilipatnam in Andhra Pradesh. In response to the approaching cyclone, 118 trains in Tamil Nadu have been canceled, affecting long-distance services from December 3rd to 6th. Educational institutions in four districts have announced holidays as a precautionary measure. To aid in disaster response, the National Disaster Response Force has deployed 18 teams across Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and Puducherry, along with the establishment of ten additional teams.
