Kasaragod: Shobha Karandlaje, Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare said that the responsibility of passing on the ideology, thought and culture of the nation to the next generation is in the hands of women. The Union Minister said that Indian women are always ready to find solutions when the nation is facing distress. Shobha Karandlaje was inaugurating the Streeshakti Sangam held at Kasaragod Vidyanagar Chinmaya Tejas under the auspices of Mahila Sangh Vedi.
“Women’s power is nation’s power. We have many proofs of that. It is in the hands of women to pass on the ideology, thought and culture of the nation to the next generation. Only then will the nation progress. Just as Tessy Thomas of Kerala earned the name Agniputri, similarly all women should be active in work, social activities and matters of temples in the country,” she said.
Brahmacharini Rojisha, Chinmaya Mission Kasaragod, presided over the function. District coordinator Sarita Dinesh, co-coordinator Geeta Baburaj and many others also participated in the function. Women who have demonstrated proficiency in various fields of society were felicitated in the function. Following this, there was a presentation on topics of contemporary relevance that is happening in the nation.
