THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP senior leader PK Krishna Das has urged the Kerala state government to promptly address the issues faced by pilgrims at Sabarimala Temple. He criticized the Kerala state government for severely disrupting the Sabarimala pilgrimage by failing to arrange basic amenities for the devotees.

Krishna Das mentioned that earlier the state government attempted to defame the Sabarimala pilgrimage by violating rituals and now the government is causing disruptions by failing to provide basic arrangements for the Sabarimala Temple. He accused the Kerala government of deliberately creating difficulties for devotees to deter visits to the temple.

While the state government lacks the capacity to offer facilities and volunteers at the Sabarimala Temple, various voluntary organizations operating there have also faced regulations from the government, leading to more hardships for devotees. Sabarimala does not have enough rest centers or health facilities. Previously, various facilities arranged by organizations were restricted by the government.

Krishna Das also said the government has taken no steps to manage the crowd during the Mandalam season at Sabarimala.
