Idukki: Following the attack on Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, several ministers have taken a different stance by supporting SFI and blaming the Governor. Mohammed Riyas, P. Rajeev, and AK Saseendran are the ministers who came out in support of SFI’s hooliganism.
Mohammed Riyas suggested offering a handshake to the protested SFI members. Meanwhile, Minister P. Rajeev criticized the Governor for coming out of the vehicle during the SFI protest.
Minister A. K. Saseendran accused the Governor of seeking attention by trying to act heroically. Saseendran claimed that when a black flag was shown, the Governor stepped out of the car and acted aggressively. He claimed the Governor lacked awareness about the police’s protective role and held the government responsible for any security lapses. Saseendran alleged that the incident was deliberately orchestrated to create tension. The minister further accused both the Governor and the opposition in Kerala of consciously disturbing the state’s peaceful atmosphere.
