New Delhi: Governor Arif Mohammad Khan expressed strong dissatisfaction with the functioning of the state government. He accused the government of neglecting its constitutional duties, and he highlighted the government’s policies as the primary cause of the ongoing financial crisis within the state.
Speaking to the media in Delhi, he voiced concerns over the government’s management of funds. He highlighted the inability of the government to pay pensions to those who have served the government for many years while giving such benefits to ministerial staff with only two years of service. Governor Khan questioned the efficacy and purpose behind the Nava Kerala Sadas journey undertaken by the Chief Minister and Ministers. He criticised it as a mere platform for receiving complaints but failed to resolve any of them effectively.
Governor Khan has decided to compile a comprehensive report on the recent attack by SFI activists on his vehicle. He specified that this report would be submitted to the Center after receiving the state government’s report on the incident. He has directed the Chief Secretary and state police chief to submit a detailed report of the incident.
