Wayanad: Another tiger attack in Wayanad. A tiger had attacked and killed a cow in Wakeri, Kallurkunn around 11:30 last night. The incident occurred at the house of Santosh, a native of Kallurkunn. Forest department officials reached the location to assess the situation.
Following the attack, the forest department has initiated an extensive search operation to capture the tiger. A specialised team comprising 20 members has been assigned to this task. The search has expanded to the Maramala, Nine Acre, and Gandhinagar areas. A trap has been set up in the area.
This recent incident follows the killing of dairy farmer Prajeesh by a tiger. The forest department had received instructions to shoot the tiger. Despite intensive searches over the past week, the forest department has been unsuccessful in locating the tiger.
