Kozhikode: Governor Arif Mohammad Khan has directed the removal of banners installed against him on the University of Calicut campus. When reaching the university, the Governor called the police and instructed them to dismantle the banners, which were put up by members of the Students’ Federation of India (SFI).
Expressing his discontent, Governor Khan also instructed the Raj Bhavan Secretary to seek an explanation from the Vice-Chancellor regarding the permission granted to SFI members for displaying the banners.
SFI workers had displayed posters and banners expressing their opposition to the Governor. The banners carry slogans such as ‘Chancellor Go Back’ and ‘Sanghi Chancellor Wapas Ja.’
