Kozhikode: Governor Arif Mohammed Khan remains resolute in his stance amidst the ongoing SFI (Students’ Federation of India) protest at Calicut University. He will partake in a public programme and a seminar scheduled at the University of Calicut. The seminar, themed around “Sree Narayana Guru Navodhanathinte Pravachakan,” is organised by the Calicut University Sanatana Dharma Chair and Bharatiya Vichara Kendra.
A heavy police force has been deployed due to the sustained protests by SFI workers against the Governor. The police removed banners put up by the SFI at the Calicut University campus, following the Governor’s order for their removal. When the SFI did not comply, Governor Arif Mohammed Khan personally came to the spot and directed the police to take down the banners. He also reprimanded officers who had not adhered to his directive and instructed them, including the Superintendent of Police (SP), to ensure the banners’ removal.
