New Delhi: In response to reports on JN 1, a new variant of Corona, the central government has issued guidelines to states including Kerala. The proposal states that the states should enhance the checks and provide district-level figures of respiratory infections and flu to the central government. The Center has also instructed to impose travel restrictions.
The Center has also suggested mandatory wearing of masks in crowded places, social distancing and genetic sequencing of disease-confirming samples. Rigorous RT PCR-antigen testing is also recommended. The Center has also announced to take immediate steps to create awareness among the people.
