Thiruvananthapuram: A report said that KPCC President, K Sudhakaran, while responding to a query, extended his support to the Kerala Governor’s choice of nominees for the university senates.
The left parties, especially the SFI, have been protesting against Governor, Arif Mohammed Khan, criticizing him for nominating individuals, who are close to Sangh Parivar.
The report quoted Sudhakaran’s remarks to media that the Governor’s nominations come under his responsibilities as Chancellor of the universities. He also added that Congress will examine if the individuals are qualified for the post. If they are qualified the party would not oppose the decision. He added that Sangh Parivar is a party in democracy and therefore there is no reason to oppose the nomination of qualified individuals affiliated to Sangh Parivar.
