Thiruvananthapuram:The High Court found out that the allegations against Dr. Ruwise, who was arrested in connection with the suicide of young doctor Dr. Shahna, are valid. The court also stated that the references against him in the suicide note are proof of this. The court pointed out that there are eyewitnesses that Ruwise went to Shahna’s house and discussed financial matters.
Dr.Shahna had tried to contact Ruwise on the phone on the day she committed suicide. But the court observed that the accused avoided her calls and also blocked Shahna’s number. Justice P Gopinath made this observation while considering the bail application filed by Dr. Ruwise, who has been arrested and is in judicial custody. The plea was adjourned for hearing again on Friday.
Ruwise’s argument is that Dr Shahna committed suicide because of the failure of their love relationship that there was no proof that dowry was demanded. Ruwise has been in judicial custody since December 7.
