Kozhikode: Criticism is mounting against the government as a significant number of complaints from Nava Kerala Sadas remain unaddressed. Even two percent of the complaints received in the Nava Kerala Sadas held in Kozhikode have not been resolved yet. Out of the 46,000 complaints received, a mere 733 have seen resolution.
The government, which had pledged to resolve complaints at the state level within 45 days, is facing criticism for the sluggish pace of redressal. Despite the promises, the process seems to be lagging, leaving a large portion of the 45,897 complaints from the Nava Kerala Sadas held in Kozhikode last month unattended. Of these, 15,649 complaints are awaiting resolution at the local body level.
Even in areas where CPI (M) leaders hold sway, complaints remain unaddressed. Officials attribute the delay to the sheer volume of complaints, emphasizing that the remedial process is becoming more time-consuming as the numbers increase. Notably, the number of complaints received during Nava Kerala Sadas is 15 times higher than the typical count from district adalats.
