Thrissur: DYFI leader Nidhin Pullen taken into custody for his involvement in vandalizing a police jeep and verbally abusing officers on Friday.
Nidhin, who had been hiding at a friend’s house in Ollur, was arrested promptly after the incident. Additionally, SFI activist Sandra was arrested today for her involvement in vandalizing the police jeep, facing charges of attempt to murder and destruction of public property. The total number of individuals arrested in connection with the case has now risen to six.
The incident transpired yesterday after the SFI’s triumph in the ITI elections when DYFI leaders, including Nidhin, were spotted riding bikes without helmets. Chalakudy police intervened, issuing fines for the violation of traffic regulations. In response, Nidhin and other DYFI activists gathered and launched an assault on the police officers, culminating in the vandalization of a police jeep.
