Kannur: The main accused in Pariyaram robbery case, Sullan Suresh, a native of Namakkal Komarapalayam, has been arrested. The suspect committed the robbery by threatening with a knife. There are approximately 80 cases against him, including a murder case. According to the police, he was also arrested in a robbery case in Thrissur 10 years ago.
The Pariyaram police apprehended him at Jolarpettai Junction railway station in Tamil Nadu on Friday afternoon. He was then brought to the station in Pariyaram on Saturday evening. He was captured while attempting to enter Karnataka after realizing that he was being followed by the police.
His accomplices Sanjeev Kumar, Gerald and Raghu were arrested earlier in the case. All three are in remand. One more member in the gang, Sivalingam, is to be caught. Although the accused have been arrested, the police have not yet been able to find the stolen items.
