Kozhikode: Former Minister of Ports of Kerala, Ahamed Devarkovil said that some members of the party tried to oust him from the ministry. Stating that those people who worked against him were expelled from Indian National League (INL), Devarkovil said that he was not aware of any complaint raised against him in the Nava Kerala Sadas.
“It is not known who wrote the complaint to the media. The power-seekers in the party tried to remove me from the ministerial post. Those other than these people can come back to the party. But those who come back must accept the party’s discipline and constitution”, Ahamed Devarkovil said.
INL is a national level political party. Any party can progress well only if there is discipline. Based on the investigation report, those who acted against discipline were expelled from the party. So far there have been no splits in INL. This is the first time that INL has become a part of the cabinet. It is true that some power aspirants in the party were disappointed at that time. But instead of being happy, they tried to oust me from the minister’s position.- Ahamed Devarkovil added.
