Thiruvananthapuram: New evidences have surfaced in the ongoing investigation into the fraudulent manipulation of mark lists within the Animal Husbandry Department. Revelations suggest a conspiracy behind the correction of mark list, specifically aimed at securing promotion to gazetted post.
The eligibility criteria for obtaining a gazetted post include a requirement of a 98 percent pass mark in the course. However, a fraudulent act was discovered where Ramadevi’s original mark of 96 percent was altered to 99 percent. This fraud indicates the involvement of senior officials within the department. Sources reveal that both the mark list and the accuracy register have been deliberately destroyed at the Animal Husbandry Department office in Kudappanakunnu to conceal evidence related to the fraud.
Earlier, J Chinchu Rani, the Minister for Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development, while addressing the Assembly, stated that the office lacked details regarding the courses, including that of Ramadevi, whose mark list was tampered with for promotion to a gazetted post. The investigation into the incident is currently underway.
