Thiruvananthapuram: In a significant cabinet reshuffle, KB Ganesh Kumar and Kadannappalli Ramachandran are set to be sworn in as ministers today. The swearing-in ceremony, to be presided over by the Governor, will take place at Raj Bhavan at 4 pm in a specially prepared pavilion on the Raj Bhavan premises.
Following two-and-a-half years of governance, the second Pinarayi government is realigning its cabinet as part of preplanned changes. KB Ganesh Kumar, leader of Kerala Congress (B), and Kadannappalli Ramachandran, leader of Congress (S), are stepping into ministerial roles following the resignations of Antony Ranju and Ahamed Devarkovil.
The departmental assignments reveal Ganesh Kumar taking charge of the transport department, while Kadannappalli will oversee the port department. Additionally, Ganesh Kumar has expressed interest in the film department, formally communicating his request to the Chief Minister. The final decision on this matter is expected to be disclosed today, and discussions are likely to take place during the CPI(M) state secretariat meeting.
