ERNAKULAM: A bomb threat has been received against the ‘Nava Kerala Sadas’ campaign scheduled to be held in Thrikkakkara. It has been reported that a bomb threat was directed towards the venue of the ‘Nava Kerala Sadas,’ scheduled to take place at Thrikkakkara on January 1, 2024, where Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will attend.
The threatening letter was received at the office of the Ernakulam Additional District Magistrate (ADM), warning of a potential bomb blast at the campaign venue. The letter claimed to be from old communist members.
The Kochi City Commissioner has initiated an investigation. Police have announced plans to send the letter for forensic verification.
Earlier the ‘Nava Kerala Sadas’ campaign was scheduled for December 9, 2023, was postponed for January 1, 2024 after the demise of CPI State Secretary Kanam Rajendran.
