Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a warning for the possibility of heavy rain in Kerala over the next five days. A yellow alert is declared for various districts on January 4th and 5th. Ernakulam district is under yellow alert on the 4th, and Kozhikode, Kannur, and Kasaragod districts are on the 5th. Isolated places are expected to experience heavy rain.
On the Kerala-Karnataka coasts, there are no restrictions on fishing. However, fishing is prohibited on the Lakshadweep coast. From today until Friday, Lakshadweep is anticipated to experience adverse weather conditions, with gusty winds ranging from 40 to 55 kmph.
