Thiruvananthapuram: Union Minister of State for External Affairs, V Muraleedharan, stated that Kerala State Minister P Rajeev should clarify his involvement in the Karuvannur Cooperative bank scam. Muraleedharan made these remarks to the media questions today in Thiruvananthapuram, regarding the Enforcement Directorate (ED)’s decision to interrogate Kerala State Minister P Rajeev.
Muraleedharan further mentioned that State Minister P Rajeev was very enthusiastic in meeting the media during the Nava Kerala Sadas campaign programme. However, he is now avoiding the media after the ED’s decision to interrogate Rajeev in connection with the Karuvannur scam.
He also stated that the Union Ministry of Corporate Affairs has initiated an investigation against the Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) in connection with the ‘monthly payment’ controversy. Therefore, Kerala State Minister for Industries, who is also the head of KSIDC, P Rajeev, should address his involvement in the Karuvannur Cooperative bank scam, added Muraleedharan.
V Muraleedharan also stated that the people of Kerala should know who else from Ernakulam district has a connection to the Karuvannur Cooperative Bank scam, and Minister Rajeev must disclose this information.
