Ernakulam: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan expresses deep gratitude to the Prime Minister for presenting development projects worth Rs 4,000 crore for the state of Kerala. He mentioned that these central government projects would create substantial employment opportunities for many individuals.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Vijayan states, “Being part of the Central government initiative that contributes projects worth Rs 4,000 crore to the nation is a source of great pride for Kerala. The schemes presented by the Prime Minister will create job opportunities for 4,000 individuals in Kerala. ‘Made in Kerala’ can now proudly align with the Prime Minister’s ‘Make in India’ initiative. We sincerely thank the Prime Minister for allocating Rs 4,000 crore in projects, fostering Kerala’s role in the nation’s development.”
Today, the Prime Minister inaugurated several projects for the nation, including the International Ship Repair Facility constructed at a cost of Rs 970 crore on 42 acres leased from the Kochi Port Trust at Wellington Island, the New Dry Dock at Thevara with an investment of Rs 1,800 crore, and the Indian Oil Corporation’s Import Terminal built at a cost of Rs 1,236 crore at Puthuvype. The realization of the International Ship Repair Facility is expected to generate employment opportunities for many individuals, contributing to the overall growth of the region.
