Thiruvananthapuram: Civil Police Officer (CPO) rank holders stage a protest in front of the secretariat, expressing frustration over not securing jobs despite receiving advice memo. The candidates attribute the lack of job opportunities to the alleged inefficiencies of the Public Service Commission (PSC) and the government’s arbitrary reforms.
Thousands of candidates across the state who are awaiting appointments are now faced with an uncertain future as the notification period is merely two months away. The candidates collectively blame the bureaucratic complexity introduced by the PSC and the government’s “tughlaq reforms” for hindering their employment prospects.
The candidates approached the Home Department during the Nava Kerala Sadas and raised concerns about the issue. However, their complaints were reportedly redirected to other departments. They said that they will intensify the strike across the state if their concerns are not addressed with a positive stand.
