Ernakulam: As the nation celebrates the Prana Prathistha ceremony at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the Students’ Federation of India (SFI) has ignited controversy in Kerala. SFI members placed provocative banners at various locations, displaying a model of the disputed Babri Masjid. The incident occurred amidst widespread celebrations of the temple’s consecration.
The model of the disputed masjid was showcased at Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady. It was placed at the college’s entrance. Simultaneously, a banner bearing the inscription, “Foundation stone of Ram temple at Babri’s tomb,” was displayed at Government Victoria College in Palakkad. In response to the provocative display, police officers arrived at the locations and promptly removed the controversial banner from Government Victoria College.
