Thiruvananthapuram: The 75th Republic Day celebrations have begun in the capital city. Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan has hoisted the national flag at the Thiruvananthapuram Central Stadium.
The ceremony witnessed the Governor accepting greetings from various military units, including the Cavalry Force, NCC, Scouts, Guides, and Students Police Cadets. Following this, Governor Arif Mohammed Khan delivered the Republic Day message, emphasising the significance of the occasion.
Adding to the grandeur of the event, the Indian Air Force showered flowers from a helicopter, a tradition that has become a highlight of the celebrations in previous years. After the parade, students from various schools in Thiruvananthapuram city will sing patriotic songs.
