Kasaragod: Kerala Padayatra led by BJP state president K. Surendran has kicked off with the slogan “Modi’s guarantee, new Kerala”. Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant inaugurated the Padayatra by handing over the flag in a ceremony held in Kasaragod.
The Kerala Padayatra has been organised with the aim of educating the voters about “Modi’s guarantee” and making the people of the state aware of various schemes of the central government. Surendran will meet with the beneficiaries of the central government schemes at Kumbala tomorrow (January 28) at 10.30 am. The party will set up help desks at all constituencies to assist people to enrol for different schemes.
Surendran will also participate in the Sneha Sangamam program of religious, communal and cultural leaders of Kasaragod Lok Sabha constituency.
As part of the Kerala Padayatra, Union Ministers and senior BJP leaders will participate in the program every day. Discussions on various schemes of the central government will also be held in the program. 25,000 people, including individuals who have made their mark in various sectors of the society, will participate in the Kerala Padayatra.
Addressing the media in Kasaragod, Surendran said that the people of Kerala have started reacting against the vote bank politics of both the CPI(M) and the Congress. He said at least 1,000 people will be given membership in the party from a constituency.
