Patna: Nitish Kumar will hold the first Cabinet meeting today as Bihar Chief Minister after joining NDA (National Democratic Alliance). Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Sinha, along with other ministers, will attend the meeting, which will be chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at 11:30 am in Patna.
A decision on the fresh nomination of the Advocate General may be addressed in the first cabinet meeting. Furthermore, approval for convening the upcoming assembly session is expected to be discussed.
Nitish Kumar, a key leader of the I.N.D.I. Alliance, left the alliance yesterday and joined the NDA. He announced his resignation after the JDU (Janata Dal United) legislative party meeting.
Later in the evening, Nitish Kumar reassumed office as the Chief Minister of Bihar with the support of the NDA. Besides Nitish Kumar and the two Deputy Chief Ministers, BJP’s Prem Kumar, JD(U) leaders Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Shravan Kumar, and Vijendra Yadav, Hindustan Awam Morcha (HAM) leader Santosh Kumar Suman, and Independent MLA Sumit Kumar Singh were sworn in as ministers.
BJP National President JP Nadda and others participated in the function held at Raj Bhavan. Nitish Kumar took the oath as Bihar Chief Minister for the ninth time, leading the fifth NDA government in Bihar.
