Thiruvananthapuram: In response to the escalating threats and recent incidents of violence against Governor Arif Muhammad Khan, the central government has taken decisive action to bolster security at Raj Bhavan. A formal order appointing the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) for the protection of the Governor and Raj Bhavan has been handed over to the state.
Under the new security arrangement, the CRPF will implement Z plus security protocols for the Governor. The security team for Raj Bhavan will now comprise personnel from both the Police and CRPF units. The security of the Raj Bhavan and the Governor will be taken over by a dedicated 30-member team from the Pallippuram CRPF camp.
