Thiruvananthapuram: K Surendran, the Kerala State President of  Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) , welcomed the verdict in the Ranjith Sreenivasan murder case. K. Surendran took to social media to describe the decision as a welcome one that brings justice to Ranjith Sreenivasan.

The judgment was pronounced by  Mavelikara Additional Sessions Judge V G Sreedevi . All the accused in this case are activists affiliated with the Popular Front of India (PFI) and Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI).

Ranjith’s family shared their contentment with the judgement, and Ranjith’s widow expressed gratitude for the court’s decision to impose the maximum punishment on the accused individuals. She mentioned that despite the significant loss they endured, the lengthy wait of 770 days for the verdict felt justified. Ranjith’s wife specifically thanked the prosecution and the police for their support throughout the process.
