Alappuzha: Alappuzha District Police Chief G Jaidev stated that he is satisfied with the court verdict, which sentenced all 15 accused to death penalty the murder case of BJP’s OBC Morcha state Secretary, Adv. Ranjith Sreenivasan, in Alappuzha.
Jaidev mentioned that all the charged individuals received the maximum punishment due to the collective efforts of the investigation team, Kerala Police, and the Prosecution. He expressed satisfaction that the investigation team successfully brought all the accused involved in the organized crime to justice within a short period.
Additionally, Jaidev emphasized the importance of giving appropriate punishments to the accused, comparing it to the significance of arresting them. The District Chief expressed happiness over the court’s decision to impose the maximum punishment on all 15 PFI accused for their brutal activities.
He viewed the court’s verdict as a warning to terrorists and expressed his contentment with the decision. As the investigation officer leading the team and the District Police Chief, Jaidev found the verdict satisfactory. He acknowledged the substantial contributions of Alappuzha DySP NR Jayaraj and his team, as well as the involvement of Police Inspectors Rajesh, Vinodh, and Arun, and DySP Gireesh in concluding the case.
District Police Chief Jaidev emphasized the crucial role of Public Prosecutor Adv Prathap G Padickal in ensuring appropriate punishment for all the accused. He praised the collective efforts of everyone involved in achieving the verdict.
The incident in the case took place on December 19, 2021, at his residence in Vellakkinar, Alappuzha, where armed PFI terrorists brutally murdered him in front of his wife, mother, and younger daughter.
