Alappuzha: Three individuals have been arrested in connection with death threats against the judge who delivered the verdict in Ranjith Srinivasan’s murder case. The arrested individuals, hailing from Alappuzha and Pothencode of Thiruvananthapuram, are accused of threatening Mavelikkara Additional Sessions Judge VG Sridevi. They used abusive language and made threats through social media.
In response to the death threats, security has been heightened for Judge VG Sridevi. She will now be guarded by five policemen, including a Police Sub Inspector.
On January 30, 2024, Judge VG Sridevi sentenced all 15 PFI terrorists to the death penalty for the murder of BJP’s OBC Morcha state Secretary, Adv. Ranjith Sreenivasan, in Alappuzha in 2021.
The brutal murder of Ranjith Sreenivasan occurred on December 19, 2021, when a group of PFI terrorists attacked him in his residence in Vellakkinar, Alappuzha, in front of his wife, mother, and younger daughter.
