Malappuram: The Youth Congress state president, Rahul Mamkootathil, and writer Salama have received legal notices from the RSS Malappuram sah-karyavah Krishnakumar for allegedly spreading false propaganda against the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Rahul’s purported dissemination of misinformation took place during a public meeting organized by the Youth Congress in Malappuram, presented as an anti-fascist gathering.
The notice specifically addresses Rahul’s misleading claims, alleging that RSS was involved in the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi. Krishnakumar’s legal notice demands a retraction of the false statement and an apology from Rahul Mamkootathil.
In addition to the accusations of spreading false information, Rahul faces criticism for making derogatory remarks against Supreme Court judges who had previously instructed Rahul Gandhi to apologize to RSS for deliberate defamation.
Earlier, the RSS had issued a legal notice against Youth Congress district president Haris Muthur, as well as vice-presidents Nidheesh, Prajith, and Viswanathan. The previous notices were in response to the display of posters with illegal content in various parts of the district.
