Thiruvananthapuram: BJP State President K. Surendran has stated that the LDF and UDF are working together with mutual understanding on the monthly payment issue. He added that scandals involving leaders from both LDF and UDF will come to light after the SFIO probe into the controversial Exalogic-CMRL deal. Similar to the attempts by CPI(M) and the CM to dismiss the case, UDF also sought to eliminate it. These remarks were made during a press conference held on the occasion of the Kerala Padayathra in Attingal.
“It is doubtful that not only Ramesh Chennithala and PK Kunhalikutty but also VD Satheesan is involved in the monthly payment issue. Both ruling and opposition leaders in Kerala have become shameless beneficiaries of monopoly capitalists in the state. The reason why government taxes are not collected properly is that the Chief Minister and his family are receiving monthly payments. An example of this is the CAG report stating that tax arrears of Rs 25,000 crore are yet to be collected,” said K Surendran.
“Political leaders, police officers, and some media personnel have also received money. These individuals have conspired to harm the environment. People are confident that only PM Modi can save Kerala from corruption. The Congress has reiterated that the corruption would be settled in months. The opposition leader conspired to prevent the matter from reaching the Assembly. The Congress remained silent on the SFIO inquiry findings. K Surendran added that the LDF and UDF are cooperating with mutual understanding”, K Surendran added.
“CPI(M) State Secretary MV Govindan has become the slave of the Chief Minister. In the history of CPI(M), there has never been such a clumsy secretary. The fraudulent money in Karuvannur was directed to 32 party accounts. Exalogic is a money laundering shell company. Why should the Chief Minister fear when his hands are claimed to be clean? Why should KSIDC pay Rs 27 lakh to the lawyer and go to the Supreme Court?” K Surendran said adding that the CM is poised to engage in a legal battle by paying a high amount due to his accumulated wealth.
